In the intense battle for the second runner up position, both Jeffrey and ‘Vitaminluv’ kept the audience in suspense – with each player’s avatars worn down to their last Health Point. Unable to defend himself from successive rapid attacks from Jeffrey, ‘Vitaminluv’ finished in fourth place.

The Swordsman Online World Championship saw participation of more than 30 gamers from 7 countries. The championship was organized by IWPLAY WORLD and Perfect World Beijing in collaboration with GASH+ and Taiwan E- Sport League (TESL).

Hailing from Mainland China, ‘Tangjun’, leading the House of Tong, emerged as the Swordsman Online World Champion. Eliminating his strong opponents and defeating players from South Korea in the Final round, ‘Tangjun’ succeeded in clinching the title of ‘Chief of the Martial Art World’.

The quirky and unique TVC will be aired on four free-to-air television channels and 12 Astro channels. To celebrate this, a total of 7 units iPhone 6 will be exclusively up for grabs from February 1st to 7th, 2015. During this period, LINE will be selecting one newly registered user at random each day for 7 days. Details of the promotion and winners will be announced via the LINE Malaysia Official Account. It is indeed that simple to win!

A real-time competition game with unpredictable elements each round, LINE Let’s Get Rich brings back the nostalgia of our childhood board games. This online board game features a multiple player gameplay of four with a simple objective – invest in real estate around the world and compete to earn the highest amount of total capital.

LINE Let’s Get Rich

There are three ways for players to conquer and win the game. Firstly, a “Triple Monopoly” occurs if a player achieves three “Colour Monopolies” by owning all the properties of three different colours. A “Line Monopoly” will result in victory if a player owns all the properties in a single row. Finally, players can win through a “Tourism Monopoly” as well if they manage to acquire all the tourist locations. The game will also be determined if any players run out of resources during the game, or until turns or time is over, with the player rankings being decided by the total amount of resources owned by each player.

LINE Let’s Get Rich offers a variety of modes, such as single play and multiplayer competitive modes. Players can choose to either compete or cooperate with friends and family they are connected to through LINE, individually or in 2-on-2 teams.

Transitions Optical Releases The New Transitions Signature Lenses

Just a quick sharing on the latest innovation from Transitions Optical. Transitions Optical has released its latest Transitions® Signature™ lenses for all lens wearers in Malaysia. Featuring the most responsive adaptive lenses by Transitions Optical to date, the revolutionary new Transitions® Signature™ lenses are developed from Transitions Optical’s latest Chromea7™ technology and tested with an exclusive measurement methodology, Life360™.

Transitions Optical Releases The New Transitions Signature Lenses

This new product promises greater adaptability to different types of lighting conditions, thus providing a superior and more comfortable wearing experience for all lens wearers.

Evolution in photochromic lens technology

The latest Transitions® Signature™ lenses feature Transitions’ newly patented Chromea7™ technology, an exclusive dye formulation which enables the lens to be more responsive to the smallest change in light conditions outdoors while maintaining clarity indoors. This scientific breakthrough increases Transitions® Signature™ lenses’ sensitivity to light – allowing them  to adapt very well across various environmental conditions – and capture colours and images more vividly; leading to a superior and more comfortable wearing experience unlike any other.

New patented Life360™product testing methodology to measure real-life effectiveness

To assess the practical benefits of the new Transitions® Signature™ lenses, Transitions Optical Inc. developed and pioneered their new Life360™ methodology – a more holistic approach compared to current traditional lab-testing models practiced in the industry. Transitions® Signature™ lenses have undergone rigorous testing and evaluation in more than 200 real life conditions and 1000 scenarios in different countries, including Thailand and Philippines. These scenarios comprised combinations of differing temperatures, angles of light, UV light, weather conditions and geographical locations; which improve the real life applications of Transitions® Signature™ lenses and ensure its versatility across a variety of settings for all lens wearers.

Furthermore, blind tests have been conducted with current clear and photochromic lens wearers to assess the visual experience of Transitions® Signature™ lenses. Users have reported Transitions® Signature™ lenses provide the optimal range of benefits – better darkness outdoors, improved responsiveness in more situations, faster speed of activation and fade back while maintaining clarity of vision indoors and at night – which have led to an improved visual experience compared with their existing set of clear or photochromic lenses .

The methodology of Life360™ means that Transitions® Signature™ lenses are able to adapt to the unique environmental conditions of both Southeast Asia and Asian countries, thus remaining relevant to the market here in Malaysia. Lance Lim, Marketing Manager of Transitions Optical Inc Asia explains the benefits of such a detailed testing process conducted by genuine spectacle wearers, “The high humidity experienced by countries near the Equator mean that various levels of cloud cover across the region result in more indirect sunlight. Transitions® Signature™ lenses’ level of tint adapts to all outdoor conditions, making them the smart choice for all-day protection as today’s wearers commute between indoor and outdoor environments, as well as travel from region to region.”

Designed for the modern lens wearer

Recognising today’s wearers are constantly on the go, encountering different environments both locally and internationally for work and play, Transitions® Signature™ lenses cater to the increasingly mobile lifestyle of the modern lens wearer with the latest advancement in photochromic technology. As such, they respond quickly to the light conditions across a multitude of outdoor locations with consistent performance in all temperatures, enhancing visual experience for the lens wearer. Transitions® Signature™ lenses are also equally adaptable indoors and in low-light conditions – able to fade quickly and return to clarity – ensuring the best possible visual experience for its users. In addition, Transitions® Signature™ lenses protect its wearer from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, while maintaining its vivid and sharp colour perception.

Transitions® Signature™ lenses are currently available at all authorised eye care practitioners in a range of materials and designs. For more information, please visit http://www.transitions.com/en-my/

A virtual demonstration of the new Transitions® Signature™ lenses are available at http://www.transitions.com/en-my/virtual-viewer/.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2: Samsung Ups The Ante

This just got in, fresh sourced from Samsung which I had the chance to read up this morning. Check out the details below. I was pretty impressed by the article so let me share it here.

As many of you are well aware, Samsung has done a fantastic job of allowing the freedom of creativity and innovation in many of their recent products, including the Samsung Galaxy SIII and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Their latest product is no exception. At the IFA (International Franchise Association) in Berlin today, the technology giant held the Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 Press Conference, where the company unveiled several exciting products, the most anticipated of these being the Galaxy Note 2.

Referring to the Galaxy Note 2, "Many mobile operators have shown great anticipation, 26 in over 18 countries," said JK Shin, President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. It's safe to say that the device will likely be in high demand and that there will be quite a bit of competition between companies to offer the lowest and most appealing price to consumers.

"Samsung’s philosophy is and will always be to provide customers with the best service based on the latest technology and innovations, regardless of any difficulties," stated Shin.

"Before we launched the Galaxy note in Berlin last year, there were smart phones and tablets, but nothing in between," explained Jean-Daniel Ayme, VP of European Telecommunication Operations. “We're taking it one step further with the Galaxy Note 2. It's the most powerful smartphone in the marketplace.”

“The enhancements begin with the new S Pen.” Enhancements to the S pen include increased pressure sensitivity, better grip, and a rubber tip. "When you write with it, you will be amazed at the precision."
The Glaxy Note 2 features a beautiful display, with a 16:9 screen ratio and a 5 by 5 HD AMOLED display to boast an “ unparalleled viewing experience. Although the screen is bigger, the body of the phone is not,” stated Ayme. And the phone is kept light, as it weighs in at only 80 grams.

After going over the hardware specs, Ayme transitioned on to the really exciting part: the unique features of the device. “Let’s talk multitasking; with Galaxy Note 2 you will be able to do more.”

Air View: Gives you a preview of various contents. "Hover S Pen over something, an email for example, and you will see information from that email. In your gallery, you get a very nice display of the pictures in your album without opening it. So you can easily see if the picture you’re looking for is in that album or not."

Popup Note: “When you have to quickly jot down and address or number, there’s never a pen and paper, around, never. Pop out the pen while talking, and you can write it down.Gives you pen and paper whenever you need one. Press down on the button on the S pen and it will change the preset color to something else.”

Popup Video: You can watch your video while you’re doing other things, like reading and e-mail'or checking in with friends. And the world let out a big 'hurrah!"

Easy Clip: As soon as you select an area with the S pen by drawing a shape around the part of an image or web page you wish to save, you can easily clip it and share it through an e-mail, MMS message, or other sharing options! Wow, innovation. “Once you try this, you will love it, too.”

The S Pen "allows you to get away from the keyboard and really personalize things." Samsung definitely understands people who love journals and personalization.

Photo Note: Allows you to jot down quick thoughts and comments on pictures you would take. You can flip pictures over to write something on the back. “A very nice blend of analog and digital, I think.”

Continuing on the topic of personalization and creativity, Ayme went on to describe the Idea Visualizer, which “allows you to express your ideas and add some color to what you’re trying to say.”

He then explained that the company has been working closely with an array of developers in order to produce apps optimized for use with the S Pen. "Sketchbook, for example, has all the tools you need to draw, paint and sketch, which are only enhanced by the use of the S Pen." Ayme also mentioned an app called Draw Movie, which seems to have the exact same object as an earlier game, Draw Something, originally made awesome by OMGPOP! and then subsequently purchased and dealt with poorly by social gaming giant Zynga. Hopefully Draw Movie will be more user-friendly and fun to use.

The company has also spent a lot of time producing accessories and tools that will support the Galazy Note 2. Premium-grade accessories made specifically for the Galaxy Note 2 include flip covers, protective covers, docking stations and many more.

As Ayme concluded the segment on the Galaxy Note 2, he promised that customers who own the Samsung Galaxy SIII, the first Galaxy Note, or the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will receive updates to the latest version of Jelly Bean soon and once that happens, data will be available to be synchronized throughout their Samsung devices.
